Kudallur village enjoys cent percentage literacy rate. Currently, five schools including two private schools feeds almost schooling needs of the village. They are:
1. GBLP School 2. Aided Junior Basic (AJB) School 3. Government High School (previously known as GUP School) 4. Al Hilal English Medium School and 5. Sandeepani English Medium School.
The first two schools mentioned here offers classes up to fourth standard. Kudallur Government Lower Primary School was recently (2011) upgraded to high school as a part of Central Govt.’s ‘Rastriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan’ program. The high school produced remarkable results in its first year itself by securing 100% results in SSLC Exams. The private schools offer classes up to tenth standard. Arrival of large number of schools in surrounding areas had badly affected some schools, especially Government ones. New educational trend of the village where parents and students are fascinated by the so called ‘English Schools’ is causing a great threat to the existence of Government schools.
Other than the the newly introduced High School, higher education needs of the area are mostly satisfied by institutions in nearby towns of Kuttipuram, Koottanad, Pattambi and Edappal. Higher Secondry Schools at Thrithala and Vattenadu holds a major count of students from the village.
SNGS Arts and Science College Pattambi, MES College Velanchery, MES Engineering College Kuttipuram, MES College Ponnani and some other colleges in districts of Palakkad, Malappuram and Kozhikode are mostly approached by students from this village for collegiate education. Recent times had shown a considerable increase in the rate of students going outside the state for professional education.
